Ann and I started the day with a workout guided by Lori, our trainer and I followed that with a day of chores and fencing so I’m sore and exhausted tonight. Ann spent the morning, as usual, on her dining room table desk although she did make it out this afternoon to mow the lawn. She’s enjoying work from home but it isn’t easy to manage a staff of individuals who each have their own challenges of disrupted lives of work and family. It was nice to have a relaxing evening with her in front of the fireplace watching a sweet movie someone recommended, The 100 Foot Journey. We need to have evenings like this more often.
We also read a fascinating and informative article by Dr. Erin Bromage, a biology researcher on how time and intensity of the exposure to the Covid 19 virus plays such a significant role in its transmittance. Coughs, sneezes, long periods of time in confined spaces with someone infected (home or work), public bathrooms, and large gatherings (parties, etc.) are more likely places to get it than a grocery store or similar visits. It indicates outdoor spaces are much lower risk, especially when you can add some distance between individuals. It made it sound encouraging that with some precautions we should be able to do some riding lessons this summer….
Hope you all are able to have a restful weekend.
First photo: I grazed the sheep in the orchard today. I’m watching to make sure they have enough grass that they don’t start nibbling on the fruit trees and berries bushes.
Second photo: Lionel can’t believe it’s cold and rainy again this evening.
