I prioritized work in the garden today and yesterday and got a lot done. First I cultivated the rows that were up and growing with Jacqui's and Lauren's help. Then I hitched Derby up with Jacqui to the walking plow and finished plowing the sectons where the squash and pumpkins were going to be planted.
Traditionally, I've had a large group of home-schooling families help plant the squash and pumpkins but this year I limited it to 3 experienced families because of social distancing concerns. They not only got all the cucurbits planted, but also got the tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants transplanted into the garden rows. Later, I got the sweet corn planted and did a quick weeding with a hoe around the potatos, carrots, and beets. Now I'm hoping it'll rain tonight and the garden should be good to go without much work for the next week.
